Speaker-Listener Reversal

Current Definition
Listening is usually the more difficult part of a conversation because the listener has to understand the terms the speaker is using and cannot use his or her own terms. Based on the "asymmetry between humans and computers," it is hoped that more successfull human-computer systems can be developed more quickly if the computer assumes the easier role of speaking, and the human tries to make sense of the computers utterances. Example: Natural language based menu systems <TennantRossThompson1983>, Helgon <FischerNieper-Lemke1989>.
